Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Neuro Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality OT services to patients with complex neurological conditions. The role involves working on general neurology and cardiac wards, with potential exposure to critical care and high dependency units.
Role and Responsibilities:
Assess, treat, and plan the discharge of patients with complex physical, cognitive, and emotional needs, including those with terminal diagnoses.
Deliver client-centred occupational therapy interventions using evidence-based practices.
Take responsibility for a specialist caseload while providing guidance to junior staff on complex cases.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care and rehabilitation.
Requirements:
HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with previous NHS or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in neurology, critical care, or related settings.
Strong clinical reasoning skills to manage a complex caseload independently.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
