With 27 operating rooms, UCH Theatres & Anaesthesia Division delivers cutting-edge care across a wide range of surgical specialties, including:

  • General Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, and Upper GI
  • Colorectal, Gynaecology, Urology, Oncology, ENT, Paediatrics
  • Maxillo Facial, Vascular, Plastic & Breast, and Robotic Surgery

We also support anaesthesia services in endoscopy, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, brachytherapy, and interventional radiology.

Our new Grafton Way Building features a state-of-the-art operating complex for elective orthopaedic and ENT/oral surgeries, and Proton Beam Therapy.

As a Bank Scrub Practitioner, you are invaluable to us. You will be able to demonstrate a desire to work as part of a team, to develop skills in new and innovative procedures, and be competent in basic IT applications.

Your Role:

  • Provide expert scrub support for a broad variety of complex surgical procedures
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate patient-centred care with supervision and support
  • Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and high-performing environment, aligned with NMC/HCPC and CQC standards
  • Supervise and mentor junior and unqualified team members to ensure consistently high standards of care

What You’ll Bring:

  • NMC or HCPC registration as a Registered Nurse or ODP
  • A passion for high-quality perioperative care and patient safety
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
