We are seeking to recruit a full time dynamic, organised and enthusiastic Band 6 Primary Care Nurse to join our friendly, vibrant and fast paced organisation here at Bovington Medical Centre, Bovington Camp, Dorset.
This position offers 37.5 hours per week and requests to work flexibly will be considered, in the case of a job share this will need to make up the full time hours taking into account the business needs.

The Primary Care Nurse (Band 6) will work as part of a multi-disciplinary primary healthcare team delivering general medical services and elements of occupational health to military personnel in the population at risk. They require specialist knowledge in primary healthcare and can demonstrate a high level of competence and experience in clinical assessment and diagnosis.
Youwill work unsupervised and is responsible for the delivery of appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care needs, medical screening and giving advice to patients within their professional competence in addition to supervising and supporting junior members of the team.

All employees joining Ministry of Defence who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a 6-month probation period (unless otherwise advised) effective from the employment start date.
Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is security check.
