This is an exciting opportunity to join our large and busy team as a Static Band 6 Physiotherapist in Orthopaedics.
Due to the opening of our brand new Bristol Surgical Centre we have an opportunity to join our large friendly T&O team. The Bristol Surgical Centre will cover elective orthopaedic patients including elective limb reconstruction patients. There will also be opportunity to rotate within the larger T&O team to include Trauma services as well as Major Trauma Wards.
North Bristol Trust is a major trauma centre and regional centre for elective orthopaedics with an exciting new Bristol Surgical Centre due to open summer 2025
The physiotherapy teams have well established CPD programmes and strong supervision and wellbeing support. The senior physiotherapists regularly contribute to service development and QI projects and support junior staff , students and support workers.

Knowledge
Theoretical knowledge in Anatomy and Physiology, Movement, Biomechanics and Pathologies.
Theoretical knowledge of plastics and orthopaedic conditions including trauma and elective surgery
Experience
A wide range of postgraduate experience across MSK out-patients and acute orthopaedic wards.
Experience in supervision /mentoring.
Skills
To perform physiotherapeutic examination and assessment and treatment of patients with diverse orthopaedic presentations, physical and psychological conditions to provide a clinical diagnosis and to develop and deliver
