Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Community Therapy Team. This role involves delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to housebound patients across the Baywide locality, encompassing community rehabilitation, crisis response, and intermediate care. You will work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the South Devon Intermediate Care weekend and late duty rotas.
Responsibilities:
Conduct advanced physiotherapeutic assessments for patients with diverse physical, psychological, cognitive, and behavioural conditions
Develop and implement personalised treatment plans, including manual therapy, exercise programmes, and patient education
Provide mentorship to junior staff, students, and support workers
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care
Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
Contribute to weekend and late duty rotas as required
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Physiotherapy
HCPC registration
Experience in NHS settings, including rotations in orthopaedics, elderly care, medical, surgical, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions
Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
Experience in supervising students and support staff
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits
