Pay: £20 to £24 per hour
Pay Mechanism: Direct Engagement
Contract: 13/05/2025 – 30/06/2025

Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Community Therapy Team. This role involves delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to housebound patients across the Baywide locality, encompassing community rehabilitation, crisis response, and intermediate care. You will work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the South Devon Intermediate Care weekend and late duty rotas.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced physiotherapeutic assessments for patients with diverse physical, psychological, cognitive, and behavioural conditions

  • Develop and implement personalised treatment plans, including manual therapy, exercise programmes, and patient education

  • Provide mentorship to junior staff, students, and support workers

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care

  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives

  • Contribute to weekend and late duty rotas as required

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Physiotherapy

  • HCPC registration

  • Experience in NHS settings, including rotations in orthopaedics, elderly care, medical, surgical, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions

  • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)

  • Experience in supervising students and support staff

  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits
