Job description

Position: Band 6 Physiotherapist

Location: Kinloss Medical Centre, Kinloss Barracks, Moray IV36 3UH

Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) is an inclusive organization committed to providing outstanding care to our entitled personnel. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our supportive team of military and civilian healthcare professionals and administrative staff at Kinloss Medical Centre, part of the North of Scotland Combined Medical Practice, which includes RAF Lossiemouth.

The successful candidate will support DPHC in delivering healthcare to military personnel at the North of Scotland Combined Practice (Kinloss and Lossiemouth) Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility (PCRF). The role involves highly skilled exercise-based work in musculoskeletal, sports, and training injury areas, aiming to restore individuals to full fitness for their roles.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and delivering individualized, evidence-based treatment programs using manual assessment and clinical reasoning.
  2. Communicating effectively with patients and multidisciplinary colleagues, and advising Medical Officers on physiotherapy recommendations.
  3. Managing a clinical caseload efficiently.
  4. Providing complex clinical reports and making onward referrals.
  5. Participating in CPD activities and in-service training.
