Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coverage for some of the less technical responsibilities.
  • Handle MMUH project work.

Skills

Experience in undertaking roles related to Medicines management
Management of Pharmacy Technician within a hospital setting
Labelling and dispensing experience
Knowledge of JAC computer system
Holds the Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification
At least 2 years NHS experience

Job Description:

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is recruiting for a Band 6 Pharmacy Technician in Smethwick. The successful candidate will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 09:00am – 17:30pm. This role is available to start ASAP; the pay rate is up to £29.00 per hour all inclusive.

Banding: 6

Location: Smethwick

Hours: Full-time

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 Months

Role Requirements:

  • Position of MSO/Governance lead vacant – planned recruitment post MMUH (8b grade). Responsibilities are spread over the wider team, including technical team members. Coverage is required for some of the less technical responsibilities.
  • MMUH Project work – with increasing workload and complexities of the Pharmacy programme. Coverage is needed to allow staff to focus on their core tasks.

Essential skills:

  • Experience in undertaking roles related to Medicines management.
  • Management of Pharmacy Technician within a hospital setting, including drug histories, patient’s own drug assessment, ordering, and counselling.
  • Labelling and dispensing experience, knowledge of JAC computer system.
  • Holds the Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification.
  • At least 2 years NHS experience.
