The AHP team at Pulse is seeking an experienced Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist for Bescot Hall, a purpose-built, brand-new, state-of-the-art school catering primarily for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, as well as for children with autism who have moderate speech and learning needs. The school provides education for up to 72 children aged 8 to 16.
Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:
Conduct assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication needs. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on clinical assessments. Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings. Collaborate with educational and residential staff to create supportive living and learning environments. Offer consultation, workshops, and training to staff around therapeutic strategies and interventions. Maintain detailed and accurate records of students’ progress and therapy outcomes. Engage with families to provide guidance and support around speech and language development. Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss and plan comprehensive care for students
