Salary: £41,923 – £49,497 per annum

Pulse have recently partnered with one of the leading healthcare providers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Neuro-Rehabilitation School in Tadworth. You will provide specialist occupational therapy to children and young people accessing our school and residential services. Your role will involve delivering high-quality, evidence-based assessments and interventions to those with neuro disabilities and neurodevelopmental concerns within a multidisciplinary and multi-agency setting.

Your main responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist:

You will conduct specialist occupational therapy assessments for children with complex needs, including multiple co-morbidities, neuro disabilities, and chronic conditions, using both standardised and non-standardised assessments and clinical observations. You will develop and implement individualised, 24-hour occupational therapy programmes/strategies that integrate into the child’s daily routine, to be carried out by parents or members of the Multidisciplinary Team. These programmes should be regularly monitored, evaluated, and adjusted as needed. You will teach, integrate, and monitor occupational therapy interventions within the child’s environment. You will support the Multidisciplinary and education teams in measuring short-term targets using the IMpacts curriculum and therapy outcome measurement tools such as Goal Attainment Scaling.

What we are looking for in an Occupational Therapist:

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC.
  • Experience working with children/young people with neuro disabilities, in mainstream or specialist schools, or in paediatrics.
  • Experience with a 24-hour postural care approach.
  • Highly organised and proactive.
  • Committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people.

What’s in it for you as an Occupational Therapist:

  • Flexible working and family-friendly policies.
  • Comprehensive training and induction programme.
  • Access to ongoing training and supervision, with a commitment to personal development.
  • Retention of NHS and Teacher’s pensions where applicable, or a generous contributory pension scheme for other staff.
  • 35 days holiday (including bank holidays), increasing with length of service.
  • Childcare vouchers.
  • On-site subsidised nursery with places for staff (subject to availability and eligibility).
  • Free parking.
  • Subsidised canteen.
  • Subsidised accommodation (subject to availability and eligibility).
  • Access to a library.
  • Occupational health service, including access to physiotherapy services.
