Job Title: Orthopaedic Physiotherapist
Banding: Band 6 (HTE Framework)
Location: Exeter, Devon
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 8 PM)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £25 – £26 per hour
Duration: Ongoing
Accommodation: On-site accommodation may be available upon request

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our clients team in Exeter. This role involves providing specialist physiotherapy care to patients undergoing elective orthopaedic procedures, ensuring tailored rehabilitation plans to support recovery and optimise patient outcomes. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality assessments, developing individualised treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, implementing rehabilitation programs, and supporting patients in their recovery journey following elective orthopaedic procedures. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, including surgeons, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure seamless patient management. Additionally, you will maintain detailed patient records, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and safeguarding policies. Given the nature of the role, locums must have access to their own transport or be willing to use public transport to travel to the hospital site.

Qualifications & Experience

  • HCPC registration (essential).
  • Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in elective orthopaedics within an NHS setting (essential).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Need access to own transport.
