Duration: 3 months

Location: Harrogate

Working Hours: Full time and Part time

Rate: £24–£35 per hour

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Physiologist to join our team in Harrogate. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment, providing comprehensive physiological assessments and care to patients. As a Band 6 or 7 General Physiologist, you will be instrumental in diagnosing and managing a variety of physiological conditions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct a wide range of physiological tests and assessments, including cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological evaluations.
  2. Interpret test results, provide detailed reports, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  3. Educate patients on their conditions and management strategies, ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
  4. Maintain and calibrate diagnostic equipment, adhere to health and safety standards, and contribute to continuous service improvement.
  5. Assist in performing invasive cardiac procedures such as catheterizations, angiographies, and electrophysiology studies, working closely with cardiologists.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Clinical Physiology or a related field
  • Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., RCCP or AHCS)
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS
  • Proficiency in performing and interpreting physiological tests
  • Experience in invasive cardiac procedures such as catheterizations and angiographies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
