Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Band: Band 6

Location: Leicester, Leicestershire

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Pulse Healthcare is currently seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our client’s team in Leicester, Leicestershire. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for a short-term contract.

What will your responsibilities be?

As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for conducting detailed patient assessments to identify physical, mental, and emotional needs, enabling the creation of personalised treatment plans. You will develop and implement therapy programmes aimed at improving functional abilities and independence in daily activities, utilising evidence-based interventions. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists, is key to providing holistic patient care. Managing a diverse caseload, you will prioritise and review patient progress while supervising and mentoring junior staff and students. Additionally, you will maintain comprehensive documentation and contribute to service development through audits and clinical guideline improvement.

Qualifications and Experiences:

• 1 year experience working in community settings
• Experience working with older adults
• Experience prescribing and fitting equipment
• Understanding of falls risks and interventions
• Car owner/driver, as travel between homes and care homes and carrying equipment will be required
