Job description

Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Band: Band 6
Location: Fleet, Hampshire
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

Pulse Healthcare is currently seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our client’s team in Fleet, Hampshire. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for a short term contract.

What will your responsibilities be?

You will manage a diverse caseload of patients with complex multi-pathologies, including fast-track admissions, dialysis, COPD, diabetes, and pressure damage. You will play a key role in discharge planning, liaising with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), carers, and families to ensure safe and timely discharge. Your responsibilities will include attending MDT handovers, completing patient assessments, prioritising care, and issuing necessary equipment. You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing a high turnover of patients, and collaborate closely with Occupational Therapy, delegating tasks where needed to support staff. Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise effectively are essential in this dynamic role.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Be HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Must have Community Occupational Therapy experience.
