Role: Band 6 Occupational Therapist
Location: Crawley
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £35000.00 – £40000.00 per annum

Description:

Pulse have recently partnered with one of the leading providers of mental health services. We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team. Our service focuses on providing specialized care for male patients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007), emphasizing extended treatment and rehabilitation.

Your main responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist:

You will communicate effectively with clinicians, managers, directors, associate directors, service users, carers, family members, stakeholders, and agencies. You will provide compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff, including support staff and assistants. You will ensure the delivery of occupational therapy student placements. You will support the completion of appraisals and personal development plans for junior staff. You will develop and implement appropriate policies, protocols, and care pathways.

What we are looking for in an Occupational Therapist:

  • HCPC registered.
  • Demonstrated evidence of highly effective clinical reasoning skills.
  • Specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models.
