Job Description:

Are you a compassionate Occupational Therapist seeking a new opportunity to expand your skills? Pulse is currently looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our well-established NHS trust in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire. This full-time position is available to start as soon as possible for an ongoing period of 2 months.

  • Role: Band 6 Occupational Therapist
  • Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
  • Contract Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM for an ongoing period of 2 months.
  • Start date: ASAP until the 27 September 2024
  • Pay : Competitive , to be discussed upon application

Responsibilities:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide expert advice and support to prescribers, commissioners, operational staff, and the community. Your responsibilities will include enabling individuals with physical disabilities to achieve maximum independence and safety, assessing patients requiring rehabilitation in their homes, and providing rapid response for admission. You will conduct moving and handling risk assessments, prescribe necessary equipment, and liaise with social services, continuing healthcare providers, and the multidisciplinary team (MDT). Additionally, you will offer assessments for carers or parents and maintain professional and legal responsibility for all aspects of your work.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A relevant degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • A full driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Experience working in a community setting
