Occupational Therapist (Band 6) - NHS Trust, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our NHS trust in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. This vacancy is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for an initial period of 3 weeks. Pay: Competitive, to be discussed upon application. Start date is ASAP until 12 August 2024.

The Occupational Therapist will work within a hospital, providing specialist assessment and treatment to patients with moderate to complex needs. Responsibilities include assessing, implementing, and developing OT treatment programs based on diagnoses and patient needs.

Duties will include:

• Care-coordinating
• Contributing to holistic assessment of physical and mental well-being needs
• Assessing and intervening for individual patient needs and progress
• Treating patients with moderate to complex mental health conditions
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals

The Successful Candidate should be/have:

• Registered with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
• Experience working in mental health due to the complex patient needs
• Understanding of Occupational Therapy processes and interventions, with a hands-on approach
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ability to manage demanding clinical presentations
• Post-registration experience in rehabilitation and condition management
• UK NHS experience
