Are you a Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist seeking an exciting role working alongside the military, offering numerous benefits and opportunities? This is a part-time position, working 18.75 hours per week. Flexible working requests will be considered based on business needs.

Main duties of the job:

Perform highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessments of patients referred by Consultants, General Practitioners, and other healthcare professionals, addressing diverse presentations, complex and acute/chronic physical and psychological conditions, trauma, and sports injuries. Use clinical reasoning to provide accurate diagnoses.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized, evidence-based treatment programs using manual assessment and clinical reasoning.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to ensure informed consent, understanding of their conditions, and maximize rehabilitation potential, considering communication barriers such as language differences.
  • Provide complex clinical reports, including prognoses and discharge plans, for referring sources and ongoing care providers.
  • Manage and prioritize your clinical caseload efficiently.

Selection process:

The sift will be completed within 5 working days of the vacancy closing date. Interviews will be scheduled subsequently.

Ensure your CV demonstrates the required skills, knowledge, experience, qualifications, and memberships. The CV will be used at the sift stage, and technical skills will be assessed during the interview.

Technical skills assessed include NHS Core Skills (NHSC1, NHSC2, NHSC4, NHSC5) and HWB7 Interventions & Treatment.

Qualifications and memberships must be held in full prior to application submission. Travel expenses for interviews are not reimbursed.

All new Civil Service employees will undergo a 6-month probation period, unless otherwise specified. Successful candidates must meet security requirements, including a security check.
