Job summary

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a specialist physiotherapist to provide high-standard care to a diverse in-patient caseload. The post comprises 9 monthly rotations across areas including Health Services for Elderly People (HSEP), Rapid Response (A&E and acute medicine), Oncology, Respiratory, General Surgery and Liver Transplantation, Renal, Vascular Surgery and Amputees.

Main duties of the job

To assess and treat own caseload of patients as an autonomous andindependent practitioner for patients who may have acute, chroniccomplex presentation, and maintain appropriate treatment plans, and/or records and statistics.

• To participate in the weekend and on call rota- Supervise and teach junior therapists, students and assistants- To be involved in the teaching of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), staff and patient education groups.-Undertake and present evidence-based projects and research including departmental audit and suggesting practice changes, under the supervision of line supervisor.
