Banding: Band 6

Start date: 28 May 2025

Duration: 3 months

Rate: £26 per hour

Working hours: 3 days per week, 12 hours per week

Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled and motivated Band 6 MRI Radiographer to join a well-established imaging department in Manchester. This position is ideal for a radiographer with a strong foundation in MRI scanning who is looking to contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support our client’s patients, ensuring accurate and timely imaging in a patient-centred environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of MRI examinations using advanced imaging systems, including Siemens Aera, Siemens Viato, and GE Signa.
  • Prepare and position patients, operate MRI equipment safely and effectively, and ensure high standards of image quality.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and patient care.
  • Maintain up-to-date records, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to a supportive and efficient working environment.
  • Experience in paediatric imaging is desirable.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree or Diploma in Radiography
  • Registration with the HCPC
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience working at Band 5 in MRI
  • Proficient in Siemens Aera, Siemens Viato, and GE Signa systems
  • Experience in paediatric MRI is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to patient care and safety
