Job description

Archer Resourcing has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to join the team in Uttoxeter, providing individualised support to patients to enhance their personal health and wellbeing. This role is prison-based; therefore, the ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar setting.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based interventions
2. Providing nursing services to prisoners, considering cultural and spiritual beliefs
3. Conducting appropriate risk assessments and offering effective advice, guidance, and decision-making
4. Coordinating care and assessments under the care coordination approach
5. Maintaining high standards of nursing practice in clinical procedures and treatments
6. Participating in setting quality standards, including auditing, monitoring, and reviewing clinical practices in line with current guidelines and policies

Requirements:

• Degree relevant to NMC registration
• NMC registration
• Enhanced DBS clearance (preferably on the update service) – fast track available
• Prison clearance is essential
