Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Locum Physiotherapist to join the MSK Physiotherapy Department. This role involves working across two sites: West Berkshire Community Hospital and Bath Road, Reading. The successful candidate will provide expert physiotherapy services to patients with musculoskeletal conditions, contributing to their recovery and overall well-being. The position is available for an immediate start with a rate of £24.00 – £27.00 per hour and will continue through to November 2024. The role requires a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week, though part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

What will you be doing in this Physiotherapy role:

The Band 6 Locum Physiotherapist will carry out thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal issues. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality physiotherapy interventions, monitoring patient progress, and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals within the multidisciplinary team is essential to ensure comprehensive patient care. The role also involves maintaining accurate patient records, providing education and advice to patients about their conditions and rehabilitation strategies, and ensuring adherence to best practice and clinical guidelines.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Physiotherapy.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist.
  • HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Local to the trust or willing to relocate.
  • NHS experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Flexibility to consider part-time arrangements if required.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional development.
