The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Viral Serology to work in a busy hospital in Essex. We are looking for a Biomedical Scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s service. This will be a temporary contract with a rate of £20.00 – £27.00 per hour.

What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role?

You will, as a Biomedical Scientist in Serology, use automated analysers and various assays to aid in identifying significant pathogens. You will also support senior biomedical scientists in delivering the service and provide guidance to junior members of staff.

Essential Requirements:

    • HCPC registered.
    • UK NHS or private sector Microbiology in a hospital setting
    • Competent in using pathology computer systems.
    • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
    • IBMS registration portfolio
    • A Biomedical Scientist degree or equivalent
    • Ability to work methodically, under pressure, and adapt to changing demands appropriately.
