We are a well-led team committed to delivering safe, compassionate, and world-class care that we would want for ourselves or loved ones.

This position offers leadership opportunities combined with senior nurse mentorship, and the chance to provide outpatient nursing across various specialties within a supportive CDC environment, supported by a strong multidisciplinary team.

The Post Holder Will Be Expected To:
  • Develop skills as a positive role model, reflect on practice, and be willing to develop leadership and management skills with support and guidance.
  • Possess good communication skills to work closely with individuals and teams to develop and maintain services.
  • Be dedicated to providing high standards of service with flexibility to cover service needs to ensure success and fulfillment.
  • Demonstrate evidence of ongoing professional and personal development.
  • Support CDC services during medical emergencies, managing unwell patients across all specialties, including those affected by adverse reactions to contrast.
  • Provide simulation training for CDC services in medical emergency scenarios.
  • Be responsible for the unsupervised assessment of patient care needs, and the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans, ensuring high standards of evidence-based care for unwell patients or those with adverse contrast reactions.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking all nursing procedures as specified in Trust policies, ensuring adherence within your management responsibility, and contributing to the development of relevant clinical guidelines.
  • Communicating with patients and significant others with empathy and reassurance regarding assessment and care.
  • Providing psychological support to patients and carers in coping with their illness and treatment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure patients have access to timely, high-quality information about their diagnosis and actively participating in delivering this information.
  • Ensuring patients leave the service in a timely manner and supporting those who experience delays.
