Job Description:

The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Immunology/Biochemistry to work in a busy NHS Hospital in Aylesbury. We are looking for a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s service.

Position: Biomedical Scientist

Banding: 6

Location: Aylesbury

Hours: Mon – Fri 08:00-16:30 or 09:00-17:30 or 11:30-20:00 (on both sites as per weekly rota). You will be informed if weekend work is needed due to an emergency.

Duration: 3 months

What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role?

As a Biomedical Scientist in Biochemistry, you will be expected to be proficient in using analyzers in Biochemistry automation. Additional experience in manual or specialist techniques such as protein electrophoresis or HPLC would be a plus.

On a day-to-day basis, you will support senior biomedical scientists in delivering the service and provide guidance to junior staff.

Essential Requirements:

• HCPC registered
• UK NHS or private sector Biochemistry laboratory experience
• Experience in Immunology and Biochemistry
• Automation experience with Helena SAS-3 and Abbott Architect analysers
