Pay Rates: £22.99 per hour

Shift Patterns: 37.5 hours Mon-Fri09:00-17:00

This role is based across two wards - KennetWard, our acute medium-secure MH ward, and Evenlode Ward, our medium-secure LDward in the Oxford Clinic on the Littlemore site.

We are looking for a highly motivated andresourceful, qualified and registered Social Work professional who is keen toutilise their skills, and experience, to bring the social care perspective intothe forensic mental health In-patient setting, supporting service users intheir recovery journey.

Main duties of the job

Act as the Safeguarding Lead for their designated ward and participate in MDT reviews and discussions regarding any incidents that may occur.

Function effectively across a variety of environments (e.g. wards of varying levels of security, service users homes, inter-agency settings, etc.) including contributing to home risk assessments.

Contribute towards the multi-disciplinary assessment and management of risk. This includes working within often complex, dynamic, and sensitive situations.

Attending and presenting written and oral evidence at various forums including ward MDT meetings, Mental Health Tribunals, and Hospital Managers Hearings.

Identify social care issues on admission/ongoing and ensure that liaison with current housing providers, and Social Security Benefits are made, and that any issues regarding property and tenancy are dealt with at an early stage.
