North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust (NMUH) is one of London’s busiest healthcare providers, serving Enfield, Haringey, and beyond with hospital and community services.
Our specialties include HIV, cardiology, blood disorders, diabetes, fertility, sickle cell, and thalassemia, along with cancer diagnosis and treatment. The Helen Rollason Cancer Support Centre on-site offers wellbeing services.
We also deliver community services, including a dedicated 0-19 service for children and young people, with health visitors and school nurses supporting health and wellbeing from birth to 19 years.
The post involves rotating through all radiology areas, acting as coordinator and supervisor in general X-ray and CT departments. Candidates must demonstrate high competence in general X-ray and CT examinations.
Leadership responsibilities include supporting junior staff and students, initiating tasks to improve patient care, and supporting departmental aims.
Participation in a 24-hour shift rota is expected after achieving general X-ray and theatre competencies. The lead radiographer role in out-of-hours shifts is contingent on CT competencies. Teamwork, patient focus, and a proactive attitude are essential.
