A prominent healthcare provider in London is seeking a dynamic Band 6 Dermatology CNS to join their team. The ideal candidate will have significant clinical experience in dermatology and be skilled in managing patients receiving Biologics. Responsibilities include patient management and working within a multidisciplinary team. Competitive salary offers range between £46,419 and £55,046 per year.
The Dermatology nursing team at the Royal Free Site, is seeking to recruit a dynamic and highly motivated Band 6 Dermatology CNS with special emphasis on Biologics , to join our friendly and established team. Multidisciplinary team working is key, and you will be working alongside, the existing clinical nurse specialists and the medical team.
The ideal candidate will already be working at Band 6 level or above and possess a high level of knowledge and expertise within the speciality of dermatology. Previous experience working in Dermatology is fundamental to this role, to facilitate a range of Dermatology nurse led clinics.
As a CNS you will be expected to assess the psychological burden of skin disease, through various models and scoring systems. In addition to this, the role of the Dermatology CNS is educating the patient and their families, to better manage their skin condition. Therefore, the ideal candidate will possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to enable them to achieve this in a sensitive manner.
The post holder will be able to manage patients receiving Dermatology treatments for chronic skin disease, systemic therapy, biologics and investigations required to assess those patients. Will be involved with providing advice, support, and information from the time of diagnosis and throughout the patients care pathway from consultation, treatment, and aftercare. This will involve assessing, initiating treatments and reviewing patients in nurse led clinics and in consultant clinics.
They will be the first point of contact for all patients on a biologic. They will work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a seamless service for patients, carers and staff. An important part of their role will involve supporting the Principle Investigator in the departments research studies, working closely with the research departments and reviewing patients according to their research protocols. The successful candidate will be supported with the relevant education and training.
