Job Description:

Archer Resourcing has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join the team in Weston-Super-Mare.

The dedicated team in Weston-Super-Mare is looking for experienced individuals to deliver high-quality integrated health and social care for local people with mental health problems. You will work closely with service users to provide individualized support that meets their personal needs, contributing to improving their overall quality of life.

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

• Maintain high standards of care while working with service users to ensure their individuality and dignity are maintained, promoting independence.
• Ensure each patient receives an individual assessment and regularly updated care plan, formulated with the service user, in line with the Trust’s CPA Care Coordination Policy.
• Communicate information regarding the service user’s needs and progress promptly and accurately to other involved parties, respecting confidentiality.
• Apply a Behavioural Family Therapy approach to care, where appropriate.
• Facilitate open communication within the team and with other agencies to promote multidisciplinary care.
• Work as CPA Care Coordinator for service users when required.
• Encourage positive mental health among service users.
• Provide extensive psychiatric nursing interventions and psychological care and advice.
• Participate in a duty system regularly.
• Ensure a recovery-focused approach in patient interventions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role
• Degree relevant to NMC registration and current NMC registration
• Experience of taking responsibility
• Experience supporting practice development
• Enhanced DBS check (preferably on the update service) for fast-tracked recruitment
• Mandatory Training certificates
• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle is advantageous
