Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse in Nottingham for the Adults Community Mental Health Team. This locum role offers £26.50 per hour on an ongoing basis, with flexible start and finish times and options for full-time or part-time hours, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.

You will conduct mental health assessments, manage a defined caseload under CPA, deliver evidence-based interventions in the community, and participate in MDT discussions to improve service user

Qualifications

• RMN with current NMC registration.
• Experience in adult mental health in community settings.
• Ability to manage complex cases and work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and risk evaluations, crafting personalised care plans for adults referred to secondary mental health services.
• Manage a defined caseload of individuals with complex mental health needs under the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and recovery-focused support directly in the community.
• Monitor both mental and physical health needs, ensuring prompt interventions and escalating care where necessary.
• Engage in duty work, screening of referrals, and management of CTO cases, alongside depot administrations.
• Actively participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team discussions to enhance service user care.
