A healthcare organization in the UK is hiring a Band 6 Children's Sister/Charge Nurse for maternity leave cover. You will lead the Children's nursing team, oversee patient care, and provide education and supervision to staff. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a ward and relevant nursing qualifications. This position offers a salary between £44,485 and £52,521 per year.

We deliver a comprehensive range of general medical and surgical services to our local population and have two inpatient wards, one with a co-located 4 bedded HDU, a day unit with a POSCU and haematology service, two outpatients departments with a GP 'hot clinic', a team of Clinical Nurse Specialists and a Children's Community Nursing team.
Our Children's nursing team is expanding and is led by our Director of Nursing for Child Health. You will be supported by Clinical Nurse Educator, Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and Quality managers, together with a friendly multidisciplinary team and a corporate training and development team.
The post holder will act as a role model and provide leadership in the clinical area and will be responsible for overseeing assessment of care needs of patients, planning programmes of care, implementation and evaluation of these programmes without direct supervision.
Responsible in education and supervision of staff as coordinated with the Children's PDN. To demonstrate advanced clinical specialist skills in order to provide the highest standard of individualised evidence based patient centred care while supervising the work of others.
