Job description

Job Title: Cath Lab Radiographer

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Banding: Band 6

Start: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Rate: £25 – £26 per hour

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hrs, no on-call

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 6 Cath Lab Radiographer to join our client’s team in Northampton. This role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality imaging services using Philips equipment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the cardiology team and ensuring the best possible care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in the catheterisation laboratory, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Operate and maintain Philips imaging equipment.
  • Assist cardiologists during procedures.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and monitor their condition during imaging.
  • Maintain accurate records of imaging activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Radiography or equivalent
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience in a catheterisation laboratory setting
  • Proficiency with Philips imaging equipment
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety principles
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
