An exciting new opportunity has been made available for a Band 6 CAMHS Psychologist to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic team in Broadstairs, Kent. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract. This vacancy offers competitive rates.

What will your responsibilities be?

The candidate will be responsible for covering duty, conducting initial assessments, and contributing to the reduction of waiting times by undertaking clinical harm reviews for young people awaiting treatment. They will perform comprehensive risk assessments, develop safety plans, and effectively manage risk while ensuring timely intervention. Strong communication skills will be essential for liaising with multidisciplinary teams (MDT), bringing cases forward for discussion, and collaboratively formulating appropriate care plans. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and case management, as well as applying their experience within CYPMHS and duty teams to provide high-quality assessments and interventions.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • HCPC registration
  • CAMHS ASD/ ADOS/ ADI-R/DISCO
  • Must have previous work experience in CAMHS environment
  • Risk assessment and management
  • Experience working in CYPMHS
