Job Title: Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner – Liaison Team

Salary: £26.00 – £41.00 per hour
Type: Ongoing
Schedule: Full-time or Part-time (Monday to Friday, 08:00–18:00)

About the Role

We are delighted to offer an exciting ongoing locum opportunity for a Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to join the Liaison Team within CAMHS in Nottingham. This is an ideal role for an enthusiastic and compassionate mental health professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable young people. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct mental health assessments and support appointments for children and adolescents.
  • Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure high standards of care within secure settings.
  • Address substance misuse issues and contribute to the development of tailored support plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records using SystmOne, ensuring all documentation is timely and professional.
  • Participate in on-call rotas as required, with additional compensation for out-of-hours support.
  • Prepare and write correspondence and documentation, including mental health reviews.
  • Liaise with external clinicians to support comprehensive care and continuity of service.
  • Attend multidisciplinary meetings and effectively communicate young people’s needs to the health and care teams.
  • Professional qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g. NMC, HCPC, SWE).
  • Prior experience within CAMHS or similar child and adolescent mental health settings.
  • Strong communication and clinical assessment skills.
  • Familiarity with SystmOne is desirable.
  • Flexibility to contribute to on-call duties when required.
