Job description

Job Title: CAMHS Practitioner (Band 6)

If you are a forward-thinking individual dedicated to providing the best support to young people facing mental health issues, this role might be for you. You will develop meaningful relationships with service users to understand their needs and provide appropriate care.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Developing and providing high standards of assessment and treatment for referred patients.
  2. Managing an agreed clinical caseload.
  3. Collaboratively assessing and delivering evidence-based treatment programmes and discharge plans.
  4. Planning and providing therapy services in consultation with users, carers, and clinical teams.
  5. Developing and maintaining relevant therapeutic activities tailored to patient needs.
  6. Reviewing and evaluating treatment programmes regularly with patients, carers, and clinical team members.
  7. Facilitating patient transitions through care stages, including care planning and therapy.
  8. Completing written reports to maintain accurate patient documentation.
Requirements:
  • Registration with the NMC.
  • Enhanced DBS check (preferably on the update service) — potentially fast-tracking your application.
  • Experience working in Band 6 CAMHS roles is essential.
