Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Band 6 CAMHS Nurse (Senior Mental Health Practitioner) in Birmingham for an ongoing full-time locum role. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to impact young people’s mental health within a dynamic Clinical Mental Health Team.

You will be the first clinical contact for referrals, perform rapid triage, guide referrers, and help maintain high standards of care.

Formación

• Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing.
• Experience working as a Mental Health Nurse.
• NMC Registration.

Responsabilidades

• Be the initial clinical point of contact for referrals and enquiries, managing the referral flow and providing crucial clinical advice.
• Undertake rapid clinical triage for urgent care pathways and manage initial triage for specialist services.
• Provide guidance for clinical queries and navigate referrers to suitable care pathways.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the Referral Management Centre functions seamlessly.
• Address complex and risk-related queries referred by other clinicians.
• Participate in a training programme to maintain high standards of clinical triage consistency.
• Monitor appointment queues and ensure timely and appropriate allocation for assessments.
• Document all interactions accurately and manage appointment bookings based on clinical priority.
• Contribute to mentoring and developing junior staff, and support the enhancement of service practices.
