Job Title: Biomedical Scientist

Banding: Band 6

Location: London

Start: ASAP

Duration: 10th February 2025 until 30th July 2025

Rate: £22-£26

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week, 9am to 5:30pm

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Biomedical Scientist to join our client’s team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory testing, supporting patient care and clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic tests and procedures within the laboratory.
  • Analyze patient samples, interpret test results, and maintain accurate records.
  • Adhere to quality control protocols, participate in the validation of new techniques, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate results.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
  • BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent
  • Significant experience in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
  • Strong understanding of quality control and assurance processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Experience in andrology, specifically semen analysis
