Band 6 Biomedical Scientist – Biochemistry Locum – North London

• Position: Biomedical Scientist (Biochemistry)
• Banding: 6
• Location: North London
• Duration: Ongoing
• Rate: £26.00 – £32.00 per hour
• Hours: Shifts between 8 am – 7 pm

Job Description:

The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is recruiting a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Biochemistry to work in a busy hospital in North London. We are looking for a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory service. This contract is temporary with a rate of £26 – £32 per hour.

You will be required to process biochemistry samples using c8000 equipment and perform technical validation of test results. You will need to process samples in a timely manner to meet target test result turnaround times.

Essential Requirements:

• HCPC registered
• UK NHS or private sector biochemistry laboratory experience
• Biomedical science qualification
• At least 2 years’ post-registration experience
• Experience with Roche analysers 311 and 411
• Must be able to perform IQC, NEQAS, and authorise results
