Job Title:Biomedical Scientist– Barts NHS Trust Banding: 6 Location: LondonStart: 13.01.25Duration: Ongoing Rate: £26£30Working hours: 7.5hours daily (09:00:15:00pm), cover early and late shifts, (08:00:16:30pm & 11:30:20:00pm)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Band 6 Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Barts NHS Trust in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to our hematology and blood transfusion services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of diagnostic tests and analyses, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and patient care. This role requires a commitment to excellence and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.

What will your responsibilities be:

As a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist, the role involves conducting a variety of hematology and blood transfusion tests using CN, XN, and IH500 analysers. Performing blood film morphology assessments and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of samples is essential. Duties include maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, adhering to quality control protocols, and contributing to the continuous improvement of laboratory services. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive diagnostic support and ensure optimal patient outcomes is also expected.
