Job Title: Biomedical Scientist – Bacteriology
Banding: Band 6
Location: Leicester, Leicestershire
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £22-£27 per hour
Duration: Ongoing

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Biomedical Scientist specialising in Bacteriology to join our esteemed client in Leicester. This role requires working in a fast-paced and dynamic laboratory environment, where you will be responsible for executing a comprehensive range of bacteriology tests and procedures. Your advanced expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the precision and reliability of test results, which are critical for accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting a broad spectrum of bacteriology tests
  • Maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Analysing and interpreting complex test results with a high degree of accuracy
  • Maintaining meticulous records and documentation
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver superior patient care

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HCPC registration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or a related field
  • Extensive experience in bacteriology
