Job description

The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Andrology to work in Central London. We seek a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s service.

Position Details:
  • Role: Biomedical Scientist – Andrology
  • Band: 6
  • Location: Central London
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Duration: 3 months
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyses in andrology, including semen analysis, sperm function tests, and hormone assays.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new laboratory techniques and protocols.
  • Ensure quality control and maintain high standards of laboratory safety.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
  • Contribute to patient consultations and provide expert advice on test results and treatment options.

Essential Requirements:
  • A degree in Biomedical Science or a related field.
  • Registration with the HCPC as a Biomedical Scientist.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) (advantageous).
