We are seeking a reliable and highly experienced Band 6 Biomedical Scientist with experience in Biochemistry to join our client’s team in Stoke-on-Trent. This role involves providing essential laboratory services, including diagnostic testing and analysis, to support patient care. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results, contributing to the overall efficiency of our biomedical science services.

What will your responsibilities be:

The Biomedical Scientist will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and analyses, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. This role includes preparing samples, interpreting test results, and providing expert advice on laboratory findings. The scientist will also be involved in developing and implementing laboratory protocols, ensuring quality control, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimise patient outcomes. Experience with Siemens equipment is highly desirable.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Registered Biomedical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a biomedical science setting
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety protocols
  • Experience with Siemens laboratory equipment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in biomedical science
