Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Biochemistry to join a busy Derby laboratory. This full-time locum role offers core hours and the chance to contribute to high-quality biochemical testing.

You will undertake routine chemistry, endocrinology and toxicology analyses on automated platforms, ensuring accurate results and maintaining quality standards within an NHS-aligned service.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Experience in Biochemistry within a clinical laboratory.
• Experience with automated chemistry analysers (Cobas, Infinity, Hydrasys); Tandem Mass Spec is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• NHS experience preferred.
