Job description

Mediplacements are seeking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced band 6 Audiologist to work with one of our clients based in Salisbury.

This is a full-time position due to start as soon as possible with a pay rate of GBP25 - GBP30 per hour depending on experience.

The successful candidate will have experience with NHS audiology patient management systems (Auditbase) and be proficient in conducting fundamental adult rehabilitation clinics such as:

  1. Assessment
  2. Reassessment
  3. Pure tone audiogram (ENT)
  4. Adult hearing aid fittings and programming.

The successful candidate will be well versed in hearing aid programming including real-ear-measurements and real-ear-to-coupler difference measurements and be able to recommend alternative options for hearing loss management such as communication tactics and assistive listening devices if hearing aid fitting is not the optimal solution.

A good understanding and knowledge of audiometry including masking and tympanometry is essential to this role. An understanding of (transient) otoacoustic emissions and ability to conduct them is desirable.

Applicants will need to be comfortable working in a high pressure environment with a close knit team and be able to prioritise work and finish documentation in a timely and accurate fashion.

If you are not available for this position, we encourage you to refer a friend and take advantage of our GBP250 referral bonus. T&Cs apply.
