Job description

Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse

Salary: £27 Per Hour

Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to work with an NHS Trust in Kent. This is a full-time locum position based in Maidstone, with proposed working hours of 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 0900-1700.

The role is set to begin ASAP and will last for 3 months, offering an hourly rate of £27. Please note that this position is inside IR35.

To be eligible, you must have mental health community experience, be a car driver, and have previous experience working with Older Adults in a similar role. Reliable commuting to Maidstone is required, as there is no option for remote work.

Responsibilities include:
  • Adhering to NMC registration and revalidation requirements.
  • Following the trust's policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Supporting and demonstrating behaviors that uphold Trust values.
  • Assessing, acting on, and reporting any safeguarding concerns.
  • Promoting health and wellbeing, encouraging self-care, and involving carers when appropriate.
  • Managing medications and monitoring their effects, if required.
  • Carrying out duties related to community care depot and clozapine clinics, if applicable.
