Job Description:

The Speech Therapy team at Pulse is recruiting for a Band 6/7 Paediatric SLD Speech and Language Therapist in Lincoln. The successful candidate will work part-time hours:

  • Position: Paediatric SLD Speech and Language Therapist
  • Banding: 6 or 7
  • Location: Lincoln
  • Hours: 5.5 hours per week, plus 5.5 hours every other week
  • Duration: 3 Months contract

Essential skills:

  • HCPC Registered
  • Dysphagia trained
  • Experience with 11 students aged 13-18, all with SLD
  • Most students are residential; some are day students
  • Contact with parents mainly at EHCP review meetings
  • Experience implementing SLT strategies and providing advice within school settings
  • Familiarity with total communication approaches including Makaton signing, Aided Language Boards, PECS, and Proloquo2go
  • Recent training in aided language boards and Attention Autism strategies (not necessarily adopted)
  • Experience facilitating social skills groups and using colourful semantics activities
  • Relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
