Are you an empathetic Occupational Therapist with a keen interest in mental health?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join our client in London. This vacancy is available to start as soon as possible, offering part-time hours per week in a locum role for an ongoing period.

We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join our client’s team. As an integral member of the mental health care staff, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of clients. The role involves developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve clients’ functional abilities and daily living skills. Applicants must have mental health experience, ideally in inpatient settings at Band 6 level.

Duties will include:
  • Care-coordinating
  • Contributing to holistic assessments of physical and mental wellbeing needs
  • Assessing and intervening based on individual patient needs and progress
  • Treating patients with moderate to complex mental health conditions
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals
The Successful Candidate should be/have:
  • A registered Occupational Therapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
  • Experience working in mental health, due to the complex nature of patients
  • An understanding of Occupational Therapy processes and interventions, with a hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • The ability to manage highly demanding clinical presentations
