Cancer Prehab/Rehab Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 6/7 dependent on experience)

This is a part-time post for 15 hours per week.

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is excited to announce a new opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Berkshire Cancer Centre.

We seek a dynamic, well-motivated, and compassionate nurse with cancer care experience to support the services provided by the cancer rehabilitation and wellbeing team.

This role offers opportunities to develop skills towards becoming an autonomous and independent practitioner in oncology.

This is an exciting time to join as we expand nurse-led initiatives to enhance cancer patient care.

The post holder will be part of the cancer prehabilitation and wellbeing team, working alongside the multidisciplinary team to support patients diagnosed with cancer.

Main duties of the job
  1. Support people diagnosed with cancer by providing expert advice, psycho-social support, and information about their disease, investigations, treatment, and follow-up care.
  2. Work with the cancer prehabilitation and wellbeing team and site-specific CNS team to improve patient experience and outcomes.
  3. Care for patients at all stages of their cancer journey with compassion.
  4. Contribute to high-quality holistic patient care, including clinical practice, caseload management, education, research, audit, and professional activities.
