Job description

The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 6-7 Biomedical Scientist in Haematology/Transfusion to work in London. We seek a biomedical scientist capable of making a meaningful difference in supporting the laboratory's service.

Position Details:
  • Role: Biomedical Scientist
  • Banding: 6/7
  • Location: London
  • Hours: Full-time (9:00 to 17:30)
  • Duration: 3 months/Ongoing
Responsibilities:

As a Biomedical Scientist in haematology and blood transfusion, you will be expected to have extensive experience with analysers for full blood counts (FBC) and coagulation testing. Your duties will include maintaining and troubleshooting analysers, as well as ensuring the correct blood type is received by the recipient.

Essential Requirements:
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience in microtomy
  • Experience in UK NHS or private haematology labs
  • Knowledge in coagulation, blood film morphology, blood grouping, and antibody testing
  • Experience with Sysmex, Beckman Coulter DxH, or BioRad IH-1000 analyzers
