Band 6/7 Biomedical Scientist

The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 6-7 Biomedical Scientist in Haematology/Transfusion to work in Swansea. We seek a biomedical scientist capable of making a significant impact in supporting laboratory services.

Position Details:

• Role: Biomedical Scientist
• Banding: 6/7
• Location: Swansea
• Hours: Full-time (9:00 to 17:30)
• Duration: 3 months/ Ongoing

Role Responsibilities:

As a Biomedical Scientist specializing in haematology and blood transfusion, you should have extensive experience with analysers for full blood counts (FBC) and coagulation. Your duties will include maintaining and troubleshooting analysers, as well as ensuring the correct blood types are matched and received by recipients.

Essential Requirements:

• HCPC registration
• Microtomy experience
• Experience in UK NHS or private haematology labs
• Skills in coagulation, blood film morphology, blood grouping, and antibody testing
• Experience with Sysmex, Beckman Coulter DxH, or BioRad IH-1000 analyzers
