An innovative NHS foundation is seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Radiographer to join a friendly and multi-professional radiotherapy team. Torbay delivers a range of techniques, including Lung SABR, and is actively engaged in research with both commercial and non-commercial trials.
This post is suitable for either a qualified Therapeutic Radiographer ready for an exciting change or a student due to qualify in 2025. You will be joining at an exciting time when we will be commissioning and installing SGRT on both our linacs.

You will work as part of a team on the linear accelerators, providing safe and accurate radiotherapy treatment. The post holder will also rotate through pre-treatment activities, including RT-CT and pre-treatment data entry.
Our department comprises two matched Elekta VERSA Linacs, Mosaiq Oncology Management System, Pinnacle Treatment Planning System (TPS), Limbus AI OAR outlining software, and a Canon Aquilion CT Scanner installed in 2024. We actively participate in clinical trials, with Lung SABR Treatment initiated in 2021 and expanding into Bone and Nodal Treatments starting early 2025.
Our team includes a Support and Information Radiographer, Urology Specialist Radiographer, and Colorectal/Gynae Specialist Radiographers, all independent prescribers. We have been involved in an award-winning late effects service project and have a dedicated research radiographer embedded in the oncology research and development team.
Future plans involve implementing SGRT in early 2025, upgrading Mosaiq, implementing EPIC, and commissioning a new Treatment Planning System. Long-term, we are preparing for back-to-back Linac replacement programs.
